Performance Maintenance Proposal

Date: 4th January 2022

Proposal for: Mark Stiltner
Proposal by: David McKenzie-James

Summary

Rapyd’s website positions them as a leader in payment processing and financial services.

Rapyd has invested time + money into increasing their website speed. It’s crucial this high performance is maintained to continue seeing the boost in conversion rates, SEO, and revenue etc.

In order to continue at optimal performance, rapyd.net needs to be on an ongoing performance maintenance plan which will protect Rapyd’s investment and offer peace of mind for website speed.

Launching an optimized website is just the beginning.

Due to search engines, your website, and your competitors’ websites changing constantly, site speed optimization requires ongoing work to ensure your site stays as fast as possible and doesn’t fall behind the competition.

Web technologies will continue to progress, and with them, user expectations. This requires an ongoing strategy to monitor, maintain and improve site speed to ensure that your hard-earned score doesn’t deteriorate over time.

Why does performance drop?

Not everyone takes into account website speed when they make decisions. For example, someone may add a new plugin or embed a YouTube video onto a page without realising how the additional scripts can impact page performance.

Changes that may cause performance to drop:

Web Design Changes

New Plugins

New 3rd Party Scripts

Wordpress/Plugin Updates

Algorithm changes

Solution

Much like how Nascar / Formula 1 car engineers are always pushing to gain a competitive advantage. It’s our job to ensure your website stays fast + constantly find ways to squeeze out more performance.

We’ll keep a constant eye on the performance of your website. If for any reason the speed drops we will identify the problem and quickly fix it (or instruct the development team).

Additionally, we will provide consistent ideas and suggestions on how to maximize your site performance. These will be marginal gains to supplement the initial optimization.

Reporting will also be provided so you have a clear picture of your website’s performance + how this impacts conversion rate, bounce rate, PPC performance, and other key metrics over time.

You could think of Boostr as your dedicated website performance department. We endeavour to give you peace-of-mind that this aspect of your business is expertly handled.

Main benefits of a faster website

Increase Conversions

Speed optimization is proven to increase conversions, revenue, and reduce bounce rate. Studies have proven that conversions increase for every second reduced from page load time. An extra one second delay can cost businesses 7 percent of their sales.

Boost SEO Rankings & PPC Results

Speed optimization improves on-page SEO. You probably already know that a fast website is essential if you want to rank higher than your competitors in the search engine result pages, especially in Google SERPS. Faster websites are rewarded by ad networks who want to maintain a brilliant user experience (under 2.8s = 50% more impressions + 30% lower CPC).

Improve User Experience

A fast site equates to good user experience (UX), and good UX results in a higher number of conversions. Most users will abandon a site that takes longer than 4 seconds to load and slow load time is the number one reason cited for shopping cart abandonment.
